The Call: Blue Ink Study
Product Story
Inspired by an original illustration of Soad Hosny, the Cinderella of Egyptian cinema, this piece is part of the Portraits Telling Stories collection.
I chose to revisit one of her most memorable moments—a quiet telephone conversation, where longing is carried through the simplest gesture. More than a scene from a film, it evokes the tenderness of waiting, the intimacy of love, and the nostalgia that continues to live in our collective memory.
This artwork is not about recreating a cinematic still, but about preserving the feeling it left behind. The same composition was later revisited in blue ballpoint pen, exploring how a single image can carry the same emotion through a different medium.
More than a scene, it is an invitation to wear a story.
This composition was later reinterpreted in blue ballpoint pen, allowing the same memory to unfold through a different visual language.
