Inspired by the delicate imagery of the Abbasid poet Abu al-Hasan al-Jawhari, who likened pomegranate seeds to scattered rubies, this piece began with an original artwork created in 2023.
In the painting, pomegranate seeds appear scattered across the surface—small, vivid fragments suspended between abundance and chance. The poem became a starting point for looking at the pomegranate not simply as a fruit, but as an image of beauty, richness, and the poetry hidden in ordinary things.
This piece carries that image from the canvas into something that can be worn, allowing a centuries-old poetic vision to find a new form in the present.
More than a design, it is a fragment of a painting, a poem, and a moment carried forward.
